Hi, I’m Mathieu, a Software Engineer. I currently work as a Senior Protocol Engineer at Zama, a company building Fully Homomorphic Encryption for blockchain and AI. Before that, I was the CTO of Kakarot, where we developed efficient Zero-Knowledge Proof systems for client-side proving.

I like building products end to end, and I keep building outside of work: I wrote a book about the Cairo Programming Language, an AI conversational agent for the Starknet Ecosystem, and an API for Cairo code generation that can be plugged into any agentic tool using MCP.

Before any of this, I funded part of my studies by finding an edge in market-making strategies. I have also written a few angel checks for friends building companies, and am generally interested in investments and economics.

I have a Master’s degree in Engineering from INSA Lyon, and a Master’s degree in Computer Science from Universität Passau.
